Why HCD certification matters
State inspection equals local approval.
Because the State of California signs off on the factory build, your local AHJ only inspects the site work — foundation, utility hook-ups, and final placement. That collapses inspection cycles and shrinks the path from permit to certificate of occupancy.
The Clever Tiny Homes line ships nationwide as Park Model RVs (ANSI 119.5). Clever Builds modular ADUs are CA-only and HCD-certified.
